چکیده
Conformal field theories corresponding to two–dimensional electrically charged black holes and to two–dimensional anti–de Sitter space with a covariantly constant electric field are simply constructed as SL(2, IR)/ZZ WZW coset models. The two–dimensional electrically charged black holes are related by Kaluza–Klein reduction to the 2+1–dimensional rotating black hole of Bañados, Teitelboim and Zanelli, and our construction is correspondingly related to its realization as a WZW model. Four–dimensional spacetime solutions are obtained by tensoring these two–dimensional theories with SU(2)/Z(m) coset models. These describe a family of dyonic black holes and the Bertotti–Robinson universe.

Deformation of Dyonic Black Holes and Vacuum Geometries in Four Dimensional N = 1 Supergravity
We study some aspects of dyonic non-supersymmetric black holes of four dimensional N = 1 supergravity coupled to chiral and vector multiplets. The scalar manifold can be considered as a one-parameter family of Kähler manifolds generated by a Kähler-Ricci flow equation. This setup implies that we have a family of dyonic non-supersymmetric black holes deformed with respect to the flow parameter r...
متن کاملEntropy of Four-Dimensional Rotating BPS Dyons
The known BPS dyon black hole solutions of the N = 4 heterotic string in four dimensions with a non-zero angular momentum all have naked singularities. We show that it is possible to modify a certain class of these solutions by the addition of massive Kaluza-Klein fields in such a way that the solutions decompactify near the core to five-dimensional black hole solutions with regular event horiz...
متن کاملOn Universality in Black Hole Thermodynamics
The last three years have seen dramatic progress in the understanding of the microscopic description of black holes initiated by the identification of certain dyonic black holes and Bogomol’nyi saturated states in string theory . Such configuration arise as vacua in compactified superstring theory. The microscopic description then requires some understanding of the corresponding world sheet con...
متن کاملNariai, Bertotti-Robinson and anti-Nariai solutions in higher dimensions
We find all the higher dimensional solutions of the Einstein-Maxwell theory that are the topological product of two manifolds of constant curvature. These solutions include the higher dimensional Nariai, Bertotti-Robinson and anti-Nariai solutions, and the anti-de Sitter Bertotti-Robinson solutions with toroidal and hyperbolic topology (Plebański-Hacyan solutions). We give explicit results for ...
متن کاملSolitonic strings and BPS saturated dyonic black holes.
We consider a six-dimensional solitonic string solution described by a conformal chiral null model with non-trivial N = 4 superconformal transverse part. It can be interpreted as a five-dimensional dyonic solitonic string wound around a compact fifth dimension. The conformal model is regular with the short-distance (‘throat’) region equivalent to a WZW theory. At distances larger than the compa...
